Following the 4th round advancement of American Tennis s, Andy Roddick, into the quarter finals of the US Open 2007, his fellow American, James Blake has been knocked out of the tournament.

James Blake, ranked 6th in the world played against Tommy Haas from Germany (10th) in the 4th Round of the 2007 US Open Tennis competition.

James Blake of America took the first set at 6-4, lost a the second 6-4 and won the third 6-4. It was looking good for Blake, but immediately into the 4th set he totally lost his momentum, and lost it 6-0.

Nikolay Davydenko, the 4th seed in the world has managed to advance from the 4th round into the quarter Finals of the US Open 2007, after demolishing Korean opponent Hyung-Taik Lee in 3 straight sets.

US Open 2007 Andy Roddick Cruises into Quater Finals

Andy Roddick has managed to find his way into the Quarter Finals of the 2007 US Open Tennis tournament after a second set injury from his opponent, Tomas Berdych.

The match was played in the Arthur Ashe stadium, with Roddick leading 7-6 (7) in the first set, and 2-0 in the second, where Berdych -the 9th seed from the Czech Republic, quit from the match.

Roddick has had an easy ride up till now, his second round opponent Jose Acasuso also retired from their match when he suffered from a knee injury.

Roddick is the only American that remains in the Mens Singles at The US Open 2007. He is currently ranked 5th in the world and seems confident he might be able to please the home fans this year.

Maria Sharapova has been knocked out of the US Open Tennis Tournament.

She lost in the sets to Polish tennis star Agnieszka Radwanska.

Radwanska won the first set with a score of 6-4, and it looked as though Sharapova was turning the game around by winning the second set by 6 games to 1.

But Radwanska offered more resitance in the third winning it 6-2
